Marblehead Native Cast in New Movie 'Daddy's Home 2'

Marblehead Middle School student and local actor Trip Case has been cast in the upcoming movie "Daddy's Home 2."

MARBLEHEAD, MA - Marblehead Veterans Middle School student Trip Case is kicking off his acting career in a major way, having landed a part in the recently released Will Ferrell and Mark Whalberg movie "Daddy's Home 2", according to WickedLocal Marblehead.

According IMDB, “Daddy’s Home 2,” stars Linda Cardellini, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, Will Ferrell and John Lithgow and opened on Nov. 12.

Case got landed his first acting role last year, playing the "Trouble Maker Kid" in the TV mini series "Time Traveling Bong."

In Daddy's Home, he plays a similar role, playing "Bowler Kid," a bully in the film.

Case said his character cheers on the bullies as they harass the girl, but then declares that they have gone too far. He explained that playing an antagonist is part of the gig.

On the set of “Daddy’s Home 2,” Case talked with Scarlett Estevez and Owen Vaccaro, featured young actors in the film.

“They’re normal kids ... they’re not snooty,” Case said. “They were so nice to me.”

He also shook hands with Will Ferrell -- “an honor to meet you” -- and noticed that Mark Wahlberg was on his phone while the Celtics were playing the Wizards in game five of the NBA playoffs.

“He wasn’t really paying much attention to the game,” Case said of Wahlberg.
