Marblehead Patch Reader Comments of the Week

Here's a look back at some of the comments made by our readers this week.

Marblehead's Best Places to Dine Outside

Louise: One does not "Dine" at Java Sun and the "outdoor dining area" for Hungry Betty's is on an ugly narrow walkway overlooking a large parking lot. Yet one of the nicer outdoor dining areas in town, Jack Tar, didn't even make the list. Something smells fishy here...

The Kid: For shame Patch for shame. Once again, your lists prove to be poorly concocted. First, you neglected to include Jack-Tar -- it has larger outdoor capacity than the Barnacle or the Landing and better food (although the view is not as appealing as those venues but certainly beats overlooking a strip mall parking lot). Second, you mix apples and organges when you include Java Sun, Lime Rickeys and Coffey Ice Cream. Java Sun has 3 tables for drinking coffee (I wouldn't exactly call that dining) whereas Lime Rickeys is a glorified take out service and Coffey Ice Cream serves ... ice cream with 2 tables outside. Additionally, you don't even mention the new restaurant (Palmers) that will feature outside dining. Time to take your lists up a notch bro.

A Popping Noise Then A Flash Illuminates Bedroom

Henry Patrck: With all of the street construction going on downtown, I think we need to provide wheel chairs to our proud men and women in blue. I saw several of them leaning on telephone poles, cross walk posts, and buildings in an attempt to keep themselves in an upright position. Is this on the list for Town Meetong?

Leafblowers Are Up For Discussion at Board of Health Tonight

Henry Patrck: Let's ban leaf blowers, motor powered lawn mowers, and above all, those blasted horseless carriages that make such a racket on our hallowed causeways!
