Marblehead Police logs: Bike Missing, OUI, and Stolen Rugs

MARBLEHEAD—The following are highlights from the Marblehead Police Department Logs for Friday Nov. 3 to Monday, Nov. 5.

Friday, Nov. 3

  • American Express credit card found and turned into police.
  • Two drivers reported hitting each other's mirrors while driving on Commercial Street. They exchanged information and worked it out. An Arrowhead Road resident reported a Craigslist scam. He told police he sold an item on the site but received a check for more than the item was worth. The man checked with police to see if the check was real, which it turned out to be. Police advised him to check out the business to see if it was real before sending any money.
  • A woman living on Farrell Court was transported to the hospital after calling 911. A woman on Atlantic Avenue called police to report a pack of used cigarettes in her car.
  • Police responded to Bennett Road for a man who had taken medication and then fell on the ground.
  • A West Shore Drive resident reported that a 20-inch girls bike was taken from a friend's house. It is described as mostly purple with pink stripes.
  • A Front Street resident reported a grandparent scam about a motor vehicle accident in York, Maine. Police responded to Haley Road for a report of a disturbance. The caller stated her brother became upset at their mother's house and punched a window out.

Saturday, Nov. 4

  • Police arrested a Revere woman for OUI after she slammed into a utility pole at Atlantic Avenue and Wyman Road.
  • A woman called into police stating she was too sick to be at home and she was transported to Beverly Hospital.
  • Hit and run reported in the parking lot of a Humphrey Street business.

Sunday, Nov. 5

  • There were several calls to notify police that a driver slammed into a hydrant on Tedesco Street. The driver was not injured or charged.
  • A woman reported that she had given three rugs to a store to be cleaned and they have yet to be returned. She thinks they stole them.
  • A woman on Susan Road called police after she heard someone in her home. According to police, the woman locked herself in the basement.
  • Police showed up and found a friend of the woman's sibling at the house to pick up a sweatshirt.
  • A car was egged and damaged on Rockaway Street.

Monday, Nov. 5

  • Carol Road woman called 911 for her 87-year-old mother who had fallen with injuries.
