Marblehead Police logs: Deer Skeleton Found in Harbor

MARBLEHEAD, MA - The following are excerpts from the Marblehead Police Department Logs for Monday, Dec. 18 through Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Monday, Dec. 18

• Police responded to Gallison Avenue after a caller reported a large truck blocking the street. According to the caller, the driver refused to move the car and gave the caller the finger.
• A caller reported losing an envelope with money near Hawkes and Washington Street.
• A caller reported a vandalized motor vehicle in a parking lot on Humphrey Street.
• A caller reported seeing a dead body of an animal along the wharf on Front Street. According to police, the carcass was swept out of the water and officials at the aquarium were contacted to identify the animal. The medical examiner determined it was a white tailed deer skeleton.
• An Evans Road resident reported their Christmas decorations have been taken from the rear of their home.
• A driver reported a hit and run to police that took place on Dec. 12. on Pleasant Street.
• A resident spoke to police about a former friend who continues to contact her after being told to stop.

Tuesday, Dec. 19

• A Riverside Drive resident called 911 to report her daughter went to a holiday party and was walking home drunk in Somerville. According to the caller, her daughter's phone was almost dead and she needed help. The mother called again to report that her daughter had been picked up by Somerville police.
• While at a previous call, a Marblehead Police officer witnessed a dump truck clip a parked car.
• A woman reported that her car was hit on Saturday in an apparent hit and run.
• A Washington Street caller reported her baby carriage had been taken or lost.
• A resident on Nanepasheemet Street brought in ammunition for destruction.
• Police tried to serve a warrant on Dodge Road.
• A caller notified police that she witnessed a beige SUV hit a blue pick up truck at CVS on Cottage Street.

Wednesday, Dec. 20

• A caller reported loud power washing on the roof of an Atlantic Avenue restaurant after midnight.
