MARBLEHEAD, MA - The following are excerpts from the Marblehead Police Department Logs for Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Tuesday, Nov. 21
- Police received a call from a student who called 911. According to police, a guidance counselor spoke to the student about the call.
- A West Shore Drive resident called police to report their car had been backed into by a resident who lives on Cornell Road.
- A Pleasant Street resident contacted police about a man nodding off in his car.
- Police received a walk-in report for a shoplifting incident on Smith Street.
- A Taft Street resident visited the police station to discuss a custody issue involving his neice.
- Police were called by North Shore Elder Services to check on a Jersey Street resident.
- A Jersey Street resident reported finisng a lost credit card.
- A Maine resident called police to report several flags has been knocked down on the Lafayette Street cemetery.
- A West Shore Drive resideent called to report a red pickup druck speeding in the area.
- Police arrested a Marblehead resident on OUI charges.
- Police were called to Mugford Street after a grocery delivery driver found an elderly resident in distress. The resident was then transported to the hospital.
- A resident called to report a gas spill on Tower Way.
- An Atlantic Avenue resident reported finding a wallet in the parking lot of a church.
- A Tioga Way resident called police to report a customer breaking items, swearing and yelling inside the their store. According to a police report, the man may have been suicidal and ran out of the store before police could get there. According to the report, police tracked the suspect using his cellphone, following him around town for over 7 hours to no avail.
