Marblehead Police logs: Phone Scams Reported

MARBLEHEAD—The following are highlights from the Marblehead Police Department Logs for Tuesday, Nov. 7 to Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Tuesday, Nov. 7

  • A landscaping truck hit a pole on Liberty Lane cracking it in half.
  • A woman on Humphrey Street reported receiving annoying phone calls and a mailer from Massachusetts Chapter of National Police Support Fund. Swampscott Police told her it may be a scam and advised she throw away the mailer.
  • A woman on Commercial Street reported that she had a difficult time crossing the street at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue. She reported that a car stopped, then started again while she was in the crosswalk.
  • Police gave verbal warnings to two vehicles at the intersection of Pond Street and Green Street.
  • Police responded to a fender bender on Pleasant Street. No injuries were reported.
  • A woman went into to a CVS on Atlantic Avenue to pick up a prescription and found she had someone else's driver's licence in her purse. She was advised to monitor her credit and get a replacement.
  • A West Shore Drive resident reported to police that he had accidentally hit a car backing out of his driveway. He was unable to find the vehicle and wanted to check with police.
  • A Canterbury Road resident called police to report a ROBO scam call from 540-602-3160.
  • Police responded to a Lucia Road home for a report of a wide open front door.

  • A Redstone Lane resident called police to report the smell of gas in the home.
