Marblehead Police: Nearly 15 Car Break-Ins Reported

Marblehead Police issued a warning on Monday after several cars were broken into overnight.

MARBLEHEAD, MA – Between Saturday night and Monday morning, someone took money, jewelry, purses, clothing, phone accessories, glasses, medication, and more from nearly 15 cars in Marblehead.

Police issued a warning Monday morning to residents, warning them not to leave their personal items in cars. A statement from Marblehead Police said some cars weren't locked, and some car alarms were set off. The perpetrator(s) rummaged through the cars, and didn't always take something.

In some cases, car alarms were heard through the neighborhood, but no one called police. Police say someone entered cars of Kimball Street, Ocean Avenue, Dennett Road, Flint Street, and Nanepashemet Street on Marblehead Neck. Ft. Sewall Terrace was also hit.
