Downed Tree Knocks Out Power in Marblehead

A large tree was knocked down during Thursday's storm, but power has reportedly been restored.

MARBLEHEAD, MA – A large tree was knocked down on Beacon Street on Thursday in Marblehead. The tree took down some wires, taking out power in the area for roughly an hour.

The National Grid outage map reported 40 active outages by 12:25 p.m., affecting 2,777 customers throughout the state. Police said Marblehead Municipal Light was quickly on scene working on the problem.
