Marblehead Winter Parking Details

Snow emergencies may be declared on top of the overnight winter parking ban.

MARBLEHEAD, MA – Between Nov. 1 and April 15, no parking is allowed on any street for more than one hour between midnight and 7 a.m. The town also invokes snow emergencies when snow and ice removal is needed, and cars must immediately be moved off the street, or risk getting towed.

Snow emergencies will be posted on the Marblehead town website, and a Code Red automated phone call will be made to residents in the database. The town will also post when snow emergencies have ended.

The town does not have a bylaw requiring residents to clear the sidewalks in front of their homes, but appreciates any help in doing so. The town also asks for help in clearing a 3 foot area around all fire hydrants to provide easy access in emergencies.
