Marblehead's Koopman Named All Care Chief Executive Officer
The Salem State University alumna has been with the Lynn-based company for 32 years.

MARBLEHEAD, MA —A North Shore health care provider has named a Marblehead resident as its new president and chief executive officer.
Jo-Mary Koopman, who has been with the Lynn-based organization for 32 years, succeeds longtime president and CEO Shawn Potter, who recently retired.
"In every position Jo-Mary has held at All Care, she has led with passion for transformative health care and championed delivering the highest quality of care to our patients," Potter said. "All Care has benefited from Jo-Mary's experience, work ethic, accomplishments and operational excellence. Her outstanding leadership skills will assure All Care a bright future."

Koopman joined All Care in 1990 as a community health nurse and has helped All Care flourish and grow. All Care now serves 65 communities and performs more than 185,000 visits annually throughout the North Shore, Eastern Mass., Greater Boston and the Merrimac Valley.
“All Care will continue to prosper under the direction of Jo-Mary," All Care Board Chair Jay Fenton said. "She is committed to taking the organization to the next level to meet the growing needs of our community now and in the future."

She began her career as a community health nurse and then became a clinical manager at All Care VNA. She was promoted to Vice President of Paraprofessional and Private Duty Services in 1993 and was responsible for the overall growth and operations of All Care's non-certified private duty company.
In 1998, she added the human resource department and Payroll to her management and oversight responsibilities. Koopman was promoted to senior vice president in 2010 where she was responsible for the management, oversight, and growth of All Care's VNA, Hospice and private duty companies with combined annual revenue of over $35 million.
In 2021, Koopman was once again promoted, this time to the chief operating officer.
"I have very big shoes to fill, but I have learned from one of the best," Koopman said. "I share Shawn's commitment to home care and the critical part it plays in the larger health care system. I’m looking forward to leading the next chapter for All Care."
Koopman received her Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in nursing and a concentration in business from Boston College, and she completed her MBA in 1992 at Salem State University.
Koopman grew up in Marblehead along with her husband, Doug, and is the mother to Ben, Tom, Kyle and Matt Koopman
