Outlet 'Explodes' at Elm Street Address

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Fire Department log:

Sunday, Oct. 5

An ambulance and fire engine responded at 9:32 a.m. to Humphrey Street for a 16-year-old male who passed out after fasting a day earlier.

An ambulance and fire engine went to an Ocean Avenue address at 9:50 a.m. for someone having difficulty breathing.

A problem with an electrical outlet was reported on Elm Street at 11:15 a.m. A fire engine responded to find that a woman plugged in something and the outlet exploded.

An ambulance and fire engine responded to a West Shore Drive address for an 89-year-old woman who was feeling ill at 11:30 a.m. She was taken to Union Hospital.

An ambulance and fire engine responded to Village Street for a woman with right side numbness at 1:24 p.m.

A Humphrey Street resident reported that a can had smoke pouring from it near his neighbor’s fence at 5:52 p.m. The crew of Engine 1 checked it out.

Atlantic ambulance handled a private call at a Tufts Street address at 7:31 p.m.
