Paving Project to Give Atlantic, Essex and Washington Smooth New Surface
A weeklong paving project on Atlantic Avenue and Essex and Washington streets will kick off before dawn on Friday morning.

The project to repave Atlantic Avenue and the area around Five Corner will kick off first thing on Friday morning.
It will start with grinding at 5:30 a.m. on Friday along Atlantic Avenue from the intersection of Hawkes Street towards Five Corners, Washington Street from Five Corners toward Pleasant Street to the area of 269 Washington St. and Essex Street to Pleasant Street, at the intersection behind the Chamber of Commerce Information booth.
No parking will be allowed in the work area

There will be traffic restrictions on Atlantic Avenue and for part of the day Friday no traffic will be allowed through the work area on Washington and Essex streets.
The Marblehead Drain Department said parking and traffic flow will be normal for the weekend and weather conditions could alter the schedule.

All week, from Monday, Nov. 3 through Friday, Nov. 7 there will be times where there is limited parking or no parking and changes to traffic patterns in the work area.
Paving of the road in the work area is preliminarily scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 6. On paving days, work will begin at 5:30 a.m.
There will be no parking on the street during the paving and signs will be posted in the affected area.
