Delinquent Snapchats, a case of mistaken address, and more from the Marblehead Police log.

  • A crossing guard was almost hit by a car on Wednesday morning in the area of Pleasant Street and Mohawk Road while she was helping a child cross the street. The car behind the offending car took down the license plate and gave it to the crossing guard.
  • Someone reported seeing an upside down American flag on Tedesco Street on Thursday morning and told police she was "in tears," and found that it meant the person could be in distress. Police didn't find anyone at home, and think the orientation of the flag may be accidental.
  • Officers responded to a report of kids drawing offensive graffiti on a table at Bessom Street and took Snapchats of it on Thursday.
  • Police responded to a report of a man in the lighthouse on Lighthouse Lane around 9 a.m. on Thursday. Officers found it was a U.S. Coast Guard maintenance worker.
  • Someone was looking for a real estate agency office on Doaks Lane around 10 a.m. on Thursday, and accidentally went into someone's home. Both residents screamed at the man, and he went to police to explain what happened.
  • A woman was hit by a teenager on a bike on Atlantic Avenue on Friday around 4 p.m. She wasn't hurt, but said the young man was careless and didn't stop to ask if she was alright.
  • Police took a report of someone throwing away a Patriots necklace on Saturday around 6 p.m.
