Splash Over, Beach Erosion Possible at Two Upcoming High Tides

A coastal flood advisory is in effect for the high tide on Wednesday night and midday Thursday for the chance of minor coastal flooding.

Minor coastal flooding is possible during high tide both on Wednesday night and midday on Thursday as a Nor’easter continues to batter Marblehead.

The National Weather Service issued a Coastal Flood Advisory that runs from 9 p.m. on Wednesday through 2 p.m. on Thursday because of the chance of minor coastal flooding and beach erosion.

High tide in Marblehead will occur at 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday and 11:28 a.m. on Thursday.

Both minor coastal flooding and beach erosion is “likely” at the time of both high tides, the weather service said. There may be some splash over at high tide too.
