Here at Marblehead Patch, social media is a big deal. It's how we interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook and other media throughout the past week. We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.

Overheard

Here is a sampling of comments and happenings on our Facebook page and the social media world from the past week:

  • When a blog post went up about wild turkeys in local neighborhoods, Kathleen Dodge Bingham said she spotted 18 turkeys walking down her street.
  • A lot of people liked the YMCA's story about Children's Island. Five residents logged on and shared their own experiences with that magical place.
  • A police log about a group of people swimming in the early morning hours generated some comments. 
  • Michelle Phillip's recipe for Naked Burritos was a hit this week. It was also a good recipe to try when you don't want to do a lot of cooking.
