Traffic Patterns for School Pickup

MARBLEHEAD—Happy first day of school! The Marblehead Police Department is warning parents and drivers of major road construction sites today.

• The drain project on Pleasant St. by School St. will have the same traffic pattern that has been in place for several weeks. Inbound traffic will be diverted onto Washington St and outbound traffic will proceed on Pleasant St. School St will remain open.
• The Gas construction work that has impacted both Maple Street and West Shore Drive will not begin until 8:30 am so as to allow for traffic to move through those areas more easily.

There are also new parking restrictions near Marblehead High School.
