Winter Parking Dates Set for Marblehead

The winter parking ban in Marblehead will be enacted starting Monday, Dec. 8 this year.

The Board of Selectmen voted to have the ban start at 12:01 a.m. on Dec. 8 and continue until April 15, 2015.

No parking will be allowed on any street for longer than one hour between midnight and 7 a.m.

If a snow emergency is needed before Dec. 8, all cars will be required to be off the streets and the winter parking ban would go into effect immediately.

No warning tickets will be given, town officials announced, and there is a $25 fine for violating the winter parking ban.
