MARLBOROUGH, MA — Two Marlborough firefighters were treated for minor injuries while battling a structure fire in a home over the weekend, according to the department.

The fire broke out Saturday afternoon at 16 Brown St. one block east of Union Common. Firefighters were able to douse the flames on the exterior of the home quickly, but faced heavier flames inside the home.

The fire eventually grew to two alarms, triggering a response from the Sudbury, Hudson, Southborough and Northborough fire departments. Framingham and Westborough firefighters also provided help by covering fire stations while Marlborough firefighters were busy.
