5 Things You Need To Know Today: April 22

Here is a list of things going on in and around Marlborough today.

1. Today is expected to be mostly sunny with a high in the mid-50s, and a light breeze. 

2. Happy Earth Day! The will be doing its part next Saturday, April 30, when the Earth Day Fair will be held at from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be an array of things to do and sights to see. Residents will also have the opportunity to recycle a variety of household products and electronics. See accompanying images, and plan ahead now. 

3. The and the Title 1 Program will host Family Night at the library on Wednesday, May 4 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This evening is being held to celebrate Children’s Book Week and will provide an opportunity for families to find out what the library has to offer to them over the summer and throughout the entire year. This is a drop-in program that will feature tours and story times for children. Refreshments will be served. Call the Children’s Department at 508-624-6902 with questions.

4. will host a furniture drop-off day next Saturday at the Green Thumb Garden Center in Westborough. Contact Elizabeth Hanson at 508-864-1012. See what pieces the organization will accept on their website.

5. This and every Sunday are "Dog Daze for Charity" at  here in Marlborough. For the past month, each Sunday they've been chopping prices on hotdogs to $1.50 with .75 cents goes to local charities and organizations. They have already helped the Boys and Girls clubs, Kane School, Spin for Hope, and the High School Prom All-niter. Head on down for a great dog, and read our of this new neighborhood joint.
