5 Things You Need to Know Today: March 18

Here is a list of things you should know today.

1. It looks as though we are about to experience the warmest day of 2011 thus far. The National Weather Service is predicting a high of 68 degrees with partly-sunny skies, and a breeze throughout the day. 

2. The here in Marlborough will host its first International Culture & Arts Festival from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at The Special Olympics Yawkey Sports Training Center, 512 Forest St.   The event is free to the public. There will be country displays, student performances, and sample food from around the world. Visitors will be able to view artwork created throughout the year by the students, learn from the cultural displays and join in the raffles for prizes.

4.  This and every Sunday are "Dog Daze for Charity" at here in Marlborough. For the past month, each Sunday they've been chopping prices on hotdogs to 1.50 with .75 cents goes to local charities and organizations. They have already helped the Boys and Girls clubs, Kane School, Spin for Hope, and the High School Prom All-niter. This weekend they are helping the Boys and Girls clubs once again and next weekend will benefit the Marlborough Education Foundation. The program is with beneficiaries through the month of May! 5. The computer club at the will gather today at the Main St. facility at 1 p.m. Come check out the latest in personal computing, or learn the basics from someone who knows.
