Amahl and the Night Visitors is an opera in one act by Gian Carlo Menotti written in English. The young shepard Amahl, known for telling fibs, is unable to convince his mother that the Three Kings are at their door. When she sees he is telling the truth she invites them into her home. What transpires is how a lesson on faith, charity, love and good deeds can work miracles. The Gift of the Magi is a one act play based on the original classic written by O. Henry. This heartwarming romantic comedy tells the story of Della and Jim, who are desperately in love but also very poor. In their attempts to buy each other proper Christmas gifts, a strange twist of fate leads the couple to find the perfect gifts for each other – but at an unexpected cost.
