April 5: Police Capture Home Invasion, Assault Suspect

Here is a sampling of the calls the Marlborough Police Department responded to Tuesday, April 5, 2011. All arrests are reported.

2:39 a.m.: Police investigate some suspicious activity in the area of 130 Pleasant St.

7:16 a.m.: The hold-up alarm sounds at the Target, 605 Boston Post Rd. E., and officers check and secure the building. 

10:20 a.m.: Samuel Valazquez, 31, of 8 Perry St. Apt. 5, North Grafton, is arrested at Jiffy Lube, 402 Maple St. as a courtesy booking for another agency.

10:29 a.m.: Police make an arrest on a past case of burglary/breaking and entering. Michael Fantasia, 20, of 12 Loren Rd. Apt. 12, of Salem, NH,  is taken into custody at the Marlborough Housing Authority, 29 Pleasant St. Apt. A16, on charges of intimidation, drugs, larceny and trespass. 

12:20 p.m.: Officers arrest John Albert Foggs, 52, of 227 Cross St. Apt. #1R, Malden, for failure to register as a sex offender, and violating an abuse prevention order.

1:26 p.m.: Azhadique Blidgen, 21, of 13 Railroad St., Maynard, is handed over to Marlborough Police at headquarters, 355 Bolton St., after being wanted for home invasion, and assault. See story here

4:36 p.m.: Laurie A. Stephens, 49, of 2 Spring Ln., is arrested at his residence on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer, assault, and disorderly conduct. 

5:15 p.m.: Services are rendered when officers serve a summons at 14 Edinboro St. 

5:59 p.m.: Assault is reported at Marlborough Hospital, 157 Union St. 

9:00 p.m.: Police investigate a report of a missing person at 187 West Main St.

11:06 p.m.: Nicole M. Gray, 24, of 920 Pleasant St. Apt. 1, Worcester, is arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license.
