MARLBOROUGH, MA — Local residents interested in working in the hospitality industry in the Marlborough area will have a chance to talk to meet employers at a job fair this week.

The Thursday event is a collaboration between MassHire, the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Marlborough Economic Development Corp., and will come before an important September unemployment deadline.

On Sept. 6, several pandemic-era unemployment programs that provided extra benefits to people who lost jobs will end. Some of those programs include an unemployment program for freelance, part-time and gig workers, and the $300 weekly boost to unemployment payments.
