Man's Death In Marlborough Under Investigation: Middlesex DA

A 45-year-old man was pronounced dead Wednesday night after an altercation, law enforcement officials said.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough police have confirmed an ongoing death investigation after a man died Wednesday night.

Police responded to St. Ives Way around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday after a report of an altercation, the Middlesex County DA said in a news release. The victim, a 45-year-old man, was taken to Marlborough Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A second person inside the home was also injured and treated at the hospital.

The DA's office did not release details about the nature of either the death or the other person's injuries, and did not identify anyone involved. The DA's office said the investigation is "active and ongoing."

St. Ives Way is located inside the Stone Gate Apartments complex off Northborough Road.
