Marlborough Police K-9 Unit Gets $10K Donation: Report

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough's K-9 unit is getting some help from a surprise donation.
The Marlborough Police Department got a hefty donation for its K-9 unit, according to the Community Advocate. Marlborough police received $10,000 from the estate of Donna J. Colacchio on August 18.
The money will be partially used to purchase a bulletproof vest for the city's police dog, Enzo, according to the Community Advocate.

The Community Advocate reported that the Marlborough City Council unanimously approved the donation.
Enzo joined the squad in April, with the help of his handler, Officer Kevin Martins.
