MARLBOROUGH, MA — A downtown-area restaurant that's been closed for renovations for two months will reopen Friday, according to the owners.

The Zarape Restaurant, 33 Maple St., closed at the end of January for a full interior renovation, including a new bar and furnishings. The restaurant's tables and chairs imported from Mexico remain.

Rosa Varela and Gerardo Guzman opened Zarape in 2012, taking over the space previously held by the Louis Café restaurant.
