More than 400 Turkeys Distributed in Marlborough for Thanksgiving Holiday
The distribution drew together several dozen volunteers from companies including NStar.
More than 400 families in Marlborough received Thanksgiving turkeys, and bags of groceries for side dishes, in a distribution at the Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest Tuesday.
The turkeys were donated by more than eight businesses, said organizers, and volunteers for NStar and other companies helped hand out the food.
Some of the people who received turkeys are unemployed. Others have jobs, but are under-employed, said organizers. Demand for services through the Marlborough Community Cupboard have increased in recent years.
