Seeing Big Utility Bills? Marlborough To Host Seminar On Savings

Eversource and National Grid will be at the event. Both companies have overseen large rate hikes this winter.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Representatives from the biggest utilities serving Massachusetts residents — including two that have overseen large rate hikes this winter — will be in Marlborough Tuesday to offer tips on how to save on bills. The seminar is being hosted with the Marlborough mayor's office and Eversource, National Grid, Mass Save and Colonial Power.

The Mayor’s office is hosting an informative event on Jan. 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Marlborough Senior Center to help residents learn how to save money on their gas and electricity bills. National Grid, Mass Save, Eversource, and Colonial Power will be in attendance to speak about their utility savings initiatives and answer questions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about ways to manage, budget, and save money on their utility bills this winter. Information on assistance plans and programs will also be provided to help those in need. Residents are encouraged to bring a copy of their utility bill(s) for review. Portuguese and Spanish translation services will be available.

“We understand that utility bills can be a significant expense for many families, especially during the colder months,” said Mayor Vigeant. “We want to provide residents with the information and resources they need to save money and stay warm this winter.”
