The city of Marlborough is addressing some annual fall turf maintenance issues at Evergreen Cemetery. As a result, residents who visit the cemetery over the next several weeks may notice an earthy or compost-like smell. This is related to the breakdown of the organic elements of the pelletized fertilizer and should not be cause for alarm.
