"I am proud that this Budget includes priorities of mine such as investments in higher education, public transportation, affordable housing, and k-12 education/local aid," Gentile said in a news release.
Following last Friday's 153 to 4 vote in the state House, the state Senate will take a crack at the budget with possible changes before it goes to Gov. Maura Healey for a signature. Healey could also veto portions of the budget. Last year, Healey vetoed $272 million in spending priorities.
