Library Friends of Oak Bluffs contest winner's design to serve as official logo

Description of Contest
-The purpose of this contest is to solicit public ideas for the design of a logo for the Library Friends of Oak Bluffs, Inc. (LFOB). The logo may be used on the Library’s website and on a future LFOB website. It will be printed on various materials; as such, the logo will need to be resized easily and look good in both black and white and color. The final version of the logo will need to be suitable for high-quality printing. Because the winning entry will serve as the official logo of the LFOB, entrants must ensure that their entries are not similar to existing logos or copyrighted images. Entries must not infringe on existing or pending trademark or service mark registrations. The logo must contain the words, “Library Friends of Oak Bluffs” and the initials “LFOB” and should represent the mission, purpose and vision of LFOB. Original artwork must fit on one 8 1/2” x 11” page and a hard copy of original artwork for the winning entry must be submitted upon request by LFOB.
Eligibility
-The contest is open to any resident on Martha’s Vineyard.
-There is no fee to enter the contest.
Rules
-Individuals or groups may submit entries; however, but no more than three entries per individual or group.
-Entries must be original works of art authored by the entrant.
-Entries submitted by minors must be signed and authorized by a parent or other legally-authorized adult.
-Entries submitted via email must be in one of the following formats: JPEG, PDF
-The contest will open February 6, 2012 and will close March 5, 2012. The winning entry will be selected by April 1, 2012. The winning entrant will be notified via email and/or telephone, and results of the contest will be posted on the LFOB website.
-All entries become property of the LFOB.
-Entrants assign all intellectual property rights (including trademark and copyright) in their logo submissions. LFOB reserves the right to modify any image.
-LFOB will appoint a panel of judges to choose the winning design.
-Decisions of LFOB shall be final and binding on all entrants. LFOB reserves the right, in its sole judgment, to declare more than one winning entry, to share the award prize, and to decide not to declare a winner.

Deadline
Submissions must be received by LFOB by March 5, 2012.
How to Enter
Entries must be submitted to LFOB, Inc. at libraryfriendsob@gmail.com or by regular mail at LFOB, PO Box 1421, Oak Bluffs, MA 02557. Entries must include the name of the entrant and the entrant’s mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
Prize
The winner will receive a $250.00 prize and a complimentary membership to the Library Friends of OB.
