Five Things You Need to Know Today: September 10
Today the West Tisbury end of Middle Road is closed, Kitchen Porch is holding a Local Chicken cooking class and there's a benefit for the Martha's Vineyard Skate Park in Oak Bluffs

1. The West Tisbury end of Middle Road is going to be closed today and tomorrow from 7 am – 5 pm. If you drive your child to school, please plan an alternate route.
2. There is a today at in Chilmark. Taught by The Yard's senior staff as well as visiting guest artists, each day ranges in dance style, age group and ability and thus is encouraged for everyone to participate. $15. 9 am – 10:30 am. For more information, call 508-645-9662
3. Jan Burhman and are offering a class this evening. Discover the versatility and simplicity of a roasted chicken dinner using island-raised chickens. Having raised chickens for years, Jan will also discuss the value in having chickens, and why knowing what your chickens are eating can intensely affect the quality of the meat and the eggs. 4. There is a benefit for the Martha’s Vineyard Skate Park tonight at the in Oak Bluffs. There will be food, bands and good times all for one of the Island’s most loved locations for young people. $25 suggested donation. 7:30 pm.
