Five Things You Need to Know Today: September 9

Today is the first day of the 67th Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby, Island Fiber Folks meet at the Ag Hall and "Thrive" screens at the A Gallery

1. The 67th Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby begins at 12:01 am today and runs through October 13th. For more information, visit mvderby.com.

2. It’s Family Fun Day today at Middletown Nursery in West Tisbury. There will be corn husk doll making, pony rides, refreshments and more. 11 am - 2 pm.

3. The Island get together today at the Ag Hall in West Tisbury to work on projects and exchange ideas. Bring your spinning, knitting, quilting, weaving, or any handcraft. 1 pm – 4 pm. For more information, call 508-274-9696

4. This afternoon at , Lia Kahler, mezzo-soprano and friends Richard Gordon, piano and Philip Dietterich, organ present $15/$10 seniors/students. Silent auction opens at 2 pm; Concert begins at 3 pm, reception following the concert. For more information, call 645-3325.
