Stocking with the Red Stocking Fund
Volunteers are needed at Grace Church to fill bags with toys for kids this afternoon
If you are looking for a great way to volunteer, the Red Stocking Fund needs help sorting wrapped gifts into bags to go home with families this afternoon. Stop by Grace Church in Vineyard Haven at 4 pm to lend a hand.
“It’s a very busy night and there is so much stuff because we have so many kids to help that it is often hard to move,” said Gail Gardner of the Red Stocking Fund. “But it is a pretty amazing night to be a part of. “
Additionally, said Gardner, “The Red Stocking Fund provides for families all year round, not just on the holidays so donations are always gratefully accepted.” Toy donations can also be made at anytime. “We have nice dry places to store things for next year,” she said.
