20 Miler Road Race
The Boys & Girls Club hold their 15th Annual 20 Miler Road Race Saturday beginning at 11 am. The race starting line is at the Vineyard Haven Steamship Authority and the finish is at the Oak Bluffs School. Runners may register as late as the morning of the race, if space is still available. MV NAACP Dinner
The Martha’s Vineyard chapter of the NAACP is having a Martin Luther King Jr. Membership and Awards Dinner Saturday night at the Grill on Main in Edgartown. Dinner features a conversation on civil rights with Lucy Hackney, Rose Styron, and Betty Rawlins. Tickets are $80 and include a membership to the MVNAACP. All are welcome. 5:30 pm. Teen Night

Mardi Gras Dinner
Saturday night you can celebrate Mardi Gras with a Down-Island Jambalaya Dinner with New Orlean's King Cake at the Parish Hall adjacent to the Federated Church, in Edgartown. There will be Music, Beads, Masks, 10 FANTASTIC Draw Prizes and a Best Costume Door Prize. Oscar Nominated Shorts
The Martha’s Vineyard Film Society presents Five Oscar Nominated Live-Action Short Films play Saturday night at the Katharine Cornell Theater, in Vineyard Haven. Films come from various countries and the show lasts for 110 minutes. $8/$5 for MV Film Society members. 7:30 pm. For more information call, 508-696-9369.
Arts for Tweens

Pokemon Club

Fabled Fourth Graders
The Fabled Fourth Graders of West Tisbury Elementary School perform at the Chilmark Community Center Saturday. The three productions based on Aesop's fables consist of a straight play format, a music and dance format, and a series of three short fable films produced by the kids and the Martha's Vineyard Film Festival. 4 pm. “Gossip”
The MVRHS Drama Department's BravÉncore Troupe presents "Gossip" an original play written by the BravÉncore Troupe. Runs Saturday at the Performing Arts Center at the high school. Tickets are $10, and $7 for students and seniors. 4 pm and 7 pm. This play is rated PG-13 and may not be suitable for all audiences.

Island Alpaca Junior Discovery

Sunday Projects
Come to the Farm Institute for Sunday Projects for adults and children ages 8 and up. Projects may include giving animals new bedding, moving and stacking hay, organizing garden sheds, mucking stalls or moving livestock fencing. 1 pm - 2 pm. For more information, call 508-627-7007.
Slow Food MV
There is a Slow Food MV meeting on Sunday at the Agricultural Hall. Open to the community, gardeners meet to discuss anything and everything that has to do with gardens and growing food. If you are interested in getting on their email list, contact Melinda DeFeo at melinda@islandgrown.org. The group is now putting together a group order for potatoes, onions and leeks. 3pm - 5 p.m.
Public Skating
