The , a black box styled performance and dance space,is proud to welcome Ellis Paul in concert, Saturday September 1st for one performance. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Entrepreneurship Project of Alex's Place, teen spaces at the YMCA.
“Wintertide Collective” is a concept in which teens will learn to run a business from soup to nuts” says Alex's Place Director, Tony Lombardi. “ The idea is to offer teens the chance to create their own venue, manage it, book it, promote it and then enjoy the fruits of their labor and share them with the community at large.”
The Collective is designed to be a multi-purpose space; dance hall, listening room, practice space, and performance venue.” It is an experiment in building a bridge between education and entertainment, teens and the community. helping to foster positive skills in our teens that they will hopefully use throughout their lives nd to provide another place to enjoy great entertainment on the Vineyard.

Ellis Paul is no stranger to Vineyard audiences. He was a mainstay at the legendary Wintertide Coffeehouse in Vineyard Haven, where he was one of the most popular artists in its history. Paul remains the most mainstream-friendly folk songwriter to emerge from Boston since Tom Rush. He has won an unprecedented 14 Boston Music Awards, sung at Fenway Park for the Red Sox, The Boston Garden for the Celtics and even had the mayor of Boston, Thomas M. Menino, proclaim it "Ellis Paul Day in Boston" on July 9th, 2010 when Ellis celebrated his 20th year in making music.
Paul's worldwide audience has grown from several high profile song placements and hundreds of thousands of YouTube video plays. His songs are heard in various commercials, documentaries, TV shows such as "Ed" and MTV's "Real World"; and in the soundtracks of blockbuster films, including three Farrelly Brothers films: "Hall Pass", starring Owen Wilson and Alyssa Milano, "Me, Myself, & Irene," starring Jim Carrey, and "Shallow Hal," with Jack Black and Gwyneth Paltrow.
