New Drug, Weapons Charges For Medford Shots Fired Suspect

MEDFORD, MA — A Medford man arrested in connection with a car crash and shots fired on Saltonstall Road in June was charged with additional drug and weapons offenses Wednesday, police said. Jeovani Robinson, 19, was arrested at his home around 3:45 p.m. on warrant charges of violating his pre-trial bail conditions.

Officers searched Robinson's home and found a black semi-automatic pistol with a 30-round magazine, multiple bullets, a "substantial" amount of cocaine, Xanax, Percocet-30s and a "large" amount of marijuana that was pre-packaged for sale, police said.

Robinson was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, possession of a Class E drug and distribution of a Class B drug.

Police say Robinson was also involved in a car crash and shots fired June 14. Robinson fired several bullets at a car with three people inside, causing the car to crash into his own, police said. No one inside the targeted car was injured.

Robinson faces a charge of assault to murder in that case.
