Medford Announces Return Dates For More Grades, Kids Corner

The district will start hybrid learning for two more grades next week.

MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Public Schools will start hybrid learning for two more grades next week. In an update to families Tuesday, Superintendent Marice Edouard-Vincent said the start dates for third and fourth grade are Oct. 26 and 29, respectively.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Students in Third Grade Cohort B will attend on Oct. 26
  • Students in Third Grade Cohort C will attend on Oct. 29
  • Students in Fourth Grade Cohort C will attend on Oct. 29
  • Students in Fourth Grade Cohort B will attend on Nov. 2

The district is also tentatively planning to reopen the Kids Corner day care at Medford High School on Monday, Nov. 2. If your child is currently enrolled in Kids Corner, expect to receive more information this week. If your child is not currently enrolled, but you have questions or would like more information, contact Kids Corner Director Linda Sellinger at lsellinger@medford.k12.ma.us.

Edouard-Vincent said the district continues to address longstanding HVAC challenges in its buildings to ensure they meet heightened air quality standards. The MPS is also ensuring staff at each school meets the needs of all students returning to in-person instruction.
