1) Kinda hot in these rhinos ... WARRRM: Sunny today with a high near 93. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Friday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph. (Forecast by the National Weather Service.)

2) I'll give you a topic: The chickpea is neither a chick nor a pea—discuss: Don't forget that Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren will be starting at 1:15 p.m. (I don't think we're discussing chickpeas, unless Linda Richman shows up, you know, no big whoop.)

3) Wise man say, forgiveness is divine but ever pay full price for late pizza: It's Pizza Party Friday at Starting at noon, the Recreation Department will be serving up dollar slices of pizza and cold drinks (also a buck). There were also be fun free events and activities at the park, along with a supervised bounce house.

4) After all, one of life's best pleasures is reading a book of perfect beauty; more pleasurable still is rereading that book; most pleasurable of all is lending it to the person one loves: This summer the Melrose Public Library is holding a This summer, the library's reading donation will help the Make a Wish Foundation. Incentives will be given out weekly to encourage readers throughout the summer.
