Melrose Chamber Presents: Melrose Bingo
The Melrose Chamber of Commerce hatched up a unique incentive to get shoppers into local businesses.

If there’s anything we all learned from playing Mall Madness as wee ones, it’s that an effective way to incentivize people to buy things is to turn shopping into a competition.
Therefore, on April 15, The Melrose Chamber of Commerce unveiled its “Melrose Bingo” promotion for homegrown businesses. The game continues until May 15.
Here’s how it works: You pick up a bingo card at a participating institution, and complete tasks at other participating locations to get your card stamped.

The criteria for said tasks scans as fairly broad, and therefore undemanding. For instance, “Do something with your hair” warrants a stamped square, as does “Have a ‘You’ Day” and “Pick up a Gift for Someone Else.”
Once five squares in a row are stamped, the card can be traded in for a chance at winning various prizes donated by Melrose businesses.
