Melrose High School junior running back Mike Pedrini was named Division 3 football player of the week by both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald.Pedrini ran all over Masconomet last Friday evening, leading the Red Raiders to a 41-14 victory in front of the hometown fans.The junior tallied 186 yards from scrimmage, including a 38-yard touchdown scamper in the second quarter. He totaled four touchdowns on the night, helping to seal up the game by halftime.Pedrini's explosiveness and huge playmaking ability has Melrose believing they can return to the Super Bowl in 2015 and win a championship.
