WAKEFIELD—In an unexpected turn of events, Wakefield Police detectives have determined that there was morning and that the male victim's stab wounds were self-inflicted.
"Based on further interviews today with the victim and a continued investigation, we've determined there was no home invasion, there was no robbery and the wounds were self-inflicted," said Lieutenant Craig Calabrese of the Wakefield Police Department.

The victim, a 55-year-old male resident of 63 Whittier St. is still under hospital care at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.
ARLINGTON—A JRM Hauling and Recycling garbage truck rolled onto its side at about 2:30 p.m. Monday while turning right onto Pleasant Street, toward Belmont Center, from Lake Street in Belmont.

The one-vehicle crash, across from the Open Door Baptist Church, closed the westbound lane of Pleasant Street (Route 60) for more than three hours. Two “heavy-duty” tow trucks from Waltham Auto Tow were called in to flip the truck onto its wheels. One of the trucks then towed it away.
MEDFORD—A group of teenagers at Victory Park were surrounded by five men who robbed them using a gun and knives Friday night, according to a police report.
The suspects were spotted by police shortly after the incident and three of them attempted to flee, leading police on a brief manhunt before being apprehended and positively identified by the victims, the police report said.
MALDEN—A trailer home at 685 Broadway was fully engulfed in flames around 5 p.m. Tuesday night, with EMTs reporting no injuries.
A woman was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
