Lockdown Lifted At Milford High School After Swatting Call

MILFORD, MA — Milford High School entered a shelter-in-place on Monday morning.

Milford police received a report claiming that a student had a gun in a school bathroom, according to a news release from Milford Public Schools. The individual responsible for the report was detained in Tennessee and is in custody.

Although the threat was unverified, police asked the school to secure the hallways so officers could respond and check the building.

Police searched the school and spoke with students and staff. They found no threat and no weapon.

The school returned to normal operations after police cleared the building.
