Milford Police Increasing Presence At Milford Schools

The increased presence comes after "recent acts of mass violence reported both domestically and abroad," the police department said.

MILFORD, MA —The Milford Police Department said it would increase its presence at all Milford schools this week.

The increased presence comes after "recent acts of mass violence reported both domestically and abroad," Milford police said.

MPD said its School Resource Officers and Special Operations Unit will also deploy plainclothes detectives and additional patrol units to schools and other public gathering areas.

"Please be assured that these measures are precautionary in nature and not indicative of any known or credible threat to our schools or community," Milford police added.
