Multi-Town Police Effort Brings Down Scammers Targeting Milford

The scammers targeted several towns prompting multiple police departments to investigate.

MILFORD, MA - Last week the Milford Police Department (MPD) was alerted to a series of larcenies and attempted fraud transactions in Milford, Hopedale, Medway, Ashland and Framingham, according to a news release from the MPD.

The police departments from those towns worked together to identify Lucas Peli, 21, and Guilherme Branco, 22, both of Framingham. On Feb. 24 the police departments arrested the duo at their homes and found many of the suspected stolen items.

Peli and Braco are awaiting arraignment, and they were charged with the following: credit card fraud under $1,200, larceny under $1,200, identity fraud, breaking and entering into a vehicle/boat, and conspiracy.
