Over 140 Youth Attended MYC Annual Thanksgiving!
Thanks To Everyone Who Donated and Volunteered To Make This Event A Success!
On behalf of the MYC staff and Youth Commission, we would like to express how grateful we are to all the companies, families and individuals who made our Thanksgiving meal for the kids a huge success on Tuesday, November 25th! We were able to serve over 140 kids, along with over 75 special guests, volunteers and staff a hot meal as well as donate leftovers to the Milford Fire Department, and the Milford Police Department.
Thank you to the following for our monetary donations; Barbell 88 of Mendon for donating $1,000, Kerry Pepe for donating $200, Judy Tusino for donating $50, Judith Poirier for donating $25, and to Big Y for donating a $25 gift card. With these donations, we were able to purchase turkey, vegetable medley, penne with vegetables, and grilled beef tips from Oliva’s, penne vodka from Restaurant 89, and assorted desserts, dinner rolls, and Italian and veggie subs from the Big Y.
Thank you to Pizza Chef Milford, Prezo’s Grille and Bar, Garden Pizza, Oliva’s Market, Catering & Gourmet Gifts, Gene’s Variety, Emporium Brazil Restaurant, Casa Brazil, Milford Pizza Palace, Red Heat Tavern of Milford, Rail Trail Flatbread Co., Great Taste, Depot Street Tavern, and Restaurant 89 for each donating a main course or more than one side dish each for our meal.
Thank you to Whole Foods Market of Bellingham for donating a ham and a turkey; Ariea Bryan for donating a ham; The Dulude family for donating a turkey; the Youth Council members and their guardians for donating drinks; The Ferrucci family, Cardoso family, McDaniel family and the Galipeau family for donating drinks and or desserts and to the Bisada family for making a traditional Egyptian Bechamel sauce pasta dish! Thank you to Matthew Fitzgerald, of New England Food, for donating several pies, whipped cream, green beans, turkeys, cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes.
Thank you to Susan Dykoff of Hens & Chicks Cookie Company, Gail Jussaume and Judy Tusino for donating desserts. Thank you to Cornerstone of Milford for their amazing cookie platter, Double Tree of Milford for donating pies, Jim and the North Attleboro Elks for donating several boxes of assorted pies and to Sydney of Community Autism Services for handing out swag to the kids and donating desserts! Thank you to Diane Rose for donating cases of water and to Amazon for donating boxes of assorted drinks! We are so thankful to all of you! Thank you to Carla Tuttle and the Milford Food Service Department for supplying utensils and trays for the event!
Thank you to our Board Members, Darlene & John Dulude, Christine Crean, Martin Montoya (of CloudSolved IT), Jay Vaz, and Gail Jussaume for volunteering to help during the event! Thank you to Dominique and Chase, of Milford TV, for taking the time to come and film the event, interview staff and children and for helping us to create a lasting memory!
A big thanks to, Donna Arthur, Michelle Huynh, Toni Travaglini, Johanna Ferrucci, David Glasberg, and Jocelyn Picard-Fauerbach of ERA Key Realty Services for their amazing help again this year helping serve the food! Thank you to Leah Martel, Maddie Britto, Dave Dwyer, Scott Lawes and Alycia McCallum of Cornerstone of Milford, for volunteering again this year to serve food!
Thank you to Judy Tusino, Earl Wilson, Pam Goldman, Jeff Turgeon and his daughter, Jim Brevigleiri, Mike Gillis and Andre Aureliano of Barbell 88 (and other members from Barbell) for volunteering their time to help in any way that was needed during the Thanksgiving event!

Thank you to Phyllis Foley, Patsy Timmons and Dee Burley, of Greenleaf Gardening, for donating supplies and running a “Three Sisters” fall themed craft! Finally, thank you to Mike Shain, of Thanks to Yanks, for volunteering to run a craft table for the children to make holiday and thank you cards to retired veterans and active soldiers. Finally, thank you to all of the special guests who attended, including donors, volunteers, Town Hall employees and to members of the Police and Fire Departments!
