Three Milford Men Seriously Hurt In Fatal Upton Crash

An 18-year-old from Uxbridge died in the weekend crash in Upton along Glenview Street.

MILFORD, MA — Three men from Milford were involved in a fatal Saturday crash in Upton, according to local police.

According to Upton police, Gabriel Dias De Holanda, 18, of Bellingham was driving an Acura sedan northbound along Glenview Street when he left the road and hit a tree with the front passenger side of the car. The Acura then flipped over in the roadway, police said.

Gabriel Brandao, 20, Julio Da Silva, 19, and Abraham Seri, 18, all from Milford, were able to get out of the car before firefighters arrived, and were later treated at UMass Memorial in Worcester for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The front passenger, Jacob Osanya, 18, of Uxbridge, was pulled from the car by firefighters. He later died at UMass Memorial, Upton police said.

As of Sunday, the cause of the crash was still under investigation. Police did not immediately announce any charges against the driver or any passengers.

By Monay morning, Friends of Osanya had started a GoFundMe fundraiser for the teen, seeking to raise $50,000 for funeral costs.

"Jacob always lit up the room with his smile and his charisma. He never failed to make us laugh and smile. Jacob was truly a ray of sunshine in our lives. He was by far one of the most hardworking and ambitious person we have ever met. His strive to be the best version of himself had a great impact on the people that surrounded him," the fundraiser page said.
