Make a Splash This Winter: Lifeguard Certification and More with MCSUP

As the holiday season approaches, the Milford Community School Use Program is opening its doors—and its pool—Children ages 15+ can learn life-saving skills, and prepare for a fun-filled 2026.

Lifeguard Certification Class

For young adults aged 15 and older, Christmas break is the perfect time to earn a professional credential that lasts a lifetime. MCSUP is offering a comprehensive American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification course.
This isn't just a summer job prep; it’s a high-level training program that covers First Aid, CPR, and AED use.

  • When: December 27th December 28th & December 30th
  • Who: Teens 15+ (Must pass a pre-course swimming evaluation)
  • What You Get: A 2-year certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED.2
  • Why Join: Beyond the job opportunities at local pools and beaches, this course builds incredible confidence, responsibility, and emergency response skills.
Note: Participants must attend all three days and complete an online "eLearning" portion prior to the first in-person session

Looking Ahead: New Year, New Fun

Once the calendar flips to 2026, the excitement doesn't stop. MCSUP is preparing a fresh lineup of children’s programs designed to kick off the New Year with energy and creativity.

  • Winter Enrichment: Popular classes like the Kid’s Test Kitchen, Bead making and Babysitting Certification class
  • Active Play: From youth basketball leagues to specialized pool workouts, there is an option for every energy level.

Save the Date: February School Vacation Week

Winter break can be long for kids, but MCSUP has you covered. A dedicated Vacation Week Program will be held at Milford High School during the February break (February 16th – 20th).
