Milton High Senior Hopes to End Tennis Career with Playoff Berth
With seven matches left in her senior season on the Milton High School girls tennis team, Ursula Beattie is hoping to make a postseason appearance.

The Milton High School girls tennis team is having a good season and with a 5-4 record needs just three wins in its final seven matches to make the MIAA tournament.
Senior Ursula Beattie has high hopes to end her four year career on the tennis team with an appearance in the postseason, something the team hasn't achieved since her freshman year.
"Just making it would be a fantastic way to end senior year," Beattie said.
Beattie, who plans to study biology and play club tennis at Colgate University next year, picked up the game at age five or six. Her mother, a high school and college player, encouraged her to try the tennis, and Beattie said she fell in love.
Beattie's love of tennis will likely continue past her years at Colgate. "I want to be one of those old lady who plays tennis," Beattie said.
The third singles player said her best asset on the court is her backhand, most player's weaker shot. Beattie said she's had a lot of success with her backhand.
She has improved other aspects of her game, like her serve, at summer camps and with a private coach at the Weymouth Club.
