Milton Named Top 10 Place for Raising Kids

Nerdwallet.com recently released it's Best 10 Places for Raising Kids in Massachusetts and Milton appears at number 10 on the list, which is led by Longmeadow.

The site scored the public schools based on GreatSchools, an organization that rates a school’s standardized test scores against the state average, and considered the cost of homeownership and the local economy.

The post points to the Milton Public Schools as the town's greatest strength by recognizing the French Immersion Program and the Milton High School AP program.

Milton's GreatSchool rating, out of 10, was an eight. The town's median home value is $483,400 and the monthly owner cost is $2,845. The post also indicates Milton's median household income is $104,713.

Milton is one of seven Greater Boston towns on the list.
